The sales argument, also known as the “market” argument, works the exact same way as the equity argument but instead of using any home in your neighborhood that is similar to yours, it only uses homes that sold the previous calendar year. These homes are commonly called “comps” and are what you might get from your real estate agent during the home buying process. However, it’s important to know if your local real estate market is strong the sales argument can actually hurt you!
